The Chainsmokers Take Over Modern Luxury's Cover For The @Home Issue Special Edition For July/August Explores How Today's Household Names Are Navigating Today's Current Climate Logo

NEW YORK, NY, July 1, 2020 - Today the editors of Modern Luxury Media, the nation's largest luxury media company, are debuting their July/August @Home Issue with The Chainsmokers for the magazine’s cover story.

Internationally acclaimed DJ duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, better known as The Chainsmokers, have risen to the forefront of electronic dance music’s pop crossover movement. The group topped the Billboard chart for 12 consecutive weeks with 2016 megahit “Closer,” featuring Halsey, and released four other top 10 hits in “Roses,” Grammy Award winner “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Paris” and Coldplay collab “Something Just Like This.”

Interviewed for the magazine’s exclusive cover feature, Pall and Taggart speak of their social media hiatus to work on their fourth album at home, and how they have continued to be active on the philanthropic front while self isolating. Pall and Taggart have been active in raising awareness and donating to causes such as the relief for the Australian WildFires, and donating masks to NYC during the COVID-19 outbreak. Most recently, they donated $50,000 to the civil relief fund in the wake of George Floyd’s death. Taggart says in the interview, “We can't stand by and watch events unfold without action.”

The Chainsmokers will be hosting a private dinner with Hamptons Magazine on July 25th, followed by a drive-in concert in the Hamptons.

At Modern Luxury, we make living well an art form—and these days, we value our home like never before. Modern Luxury’s July/August edition marks the launch of the media company’s @Home Issue, which features the most luxurious real estate listings, market trends and home design stories from prominent interior designers and brands from across the country. The issue also explores stories of how today’s most aspirational leaders and high profile influencers are navigating their professional and personal lives at home as the world shifts in response to the global pandemic and The Black Lives Matter Movement, spotlighting how readers can support through non-profits.

“As the world continues to shift, we are shifting with it,” says Phebe Wahl SVP of Editorial at Modern Luxury. “In this issue we spotlight both the sanctuary of home and the important diverse voices in our community that we must support. We are focused on our homes, family and inclusive community more than ever as we band together to overcome the current challenges.”

Just last month, Modern Luxury media launched The Hope Issue which celebrates and sheds light on national and local heroes during the global COVID-19 crisis. Spearheaded by Modern Luxury’s SVP of Editorial Phebe Wahl, The Hope Issue was assembled remotely and featured inspiring profiles and interviews from: Bill Gates, Sarah Arison, Ralph Lauren, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gov.
