October issue of Ocean Drive showcases inspirational icons in fashion, arts and entertainment that have inspired the local Miami community

MIAMI, FL - OCTOBER 1, 2020, Today the editors of Ocean Drive, part of Modern Luxury Media, the nation's largest luxury media company, are debuting their October Men’s Fashion Issue with artist Maluma on the magazine’s cover.

A local resident of Miami, Colombian singer, songwriter and actor Juan Luis Londono Arias, known professionally as Maluma, was a natural fit to be part of Ocean Drive’s October Men’s Fashion Issue. The Maluma interview additionally highlights the best of men’s fashion with runway looks from Fendi, Gucci, Versace, Louis Vuitton and others.

Maluma spoke with Ocean Drive’s Editor in Chief Patricia Alfonso Tortolani on his whirlwind of 2020. On the front end of the global pandemic, he kicked off his 11:11 World Tour in Dubai and was forced to cancel the remainder of the shows. Now, he’s celebrating the success of a new album, Papi Juancho, that was conceived while in isolation on his farm in Colombia. When asked how important Latinos are as we approach the upcoming November election Maluma told Tortolani, “Vote, vote, vote. I can’t vote here because I am not a U.S. citizen. But I would say that as a Latin culture, as a Latin population, we all have to use our power and vote for the guy that is actually going to help us. So yeah, I would say that everybody who is reading this or listening to this, vote and make the right choice.”

Ocean Drive has always been at the center of the rich and vibrant culture of Miami and its surrounding areas. One of the focal points of this issue is a unique retro spread of celebrity images from the 90’s called “That 90’s Show'' taken by photographer Manny Hernandez. The visual feature highlights the glitz and glam of the Miami social set when artists, celebrities and designers flocked to South Beach. In addition to putting a spotlight on Men’s Fashion, the magazine features an exciting first look at a special interior design challenge with Miami condominiums 2000 Ocean and furniture design brand Minotti Miami for the ultimate model unit showcase.

The October issue will be available beginning October 1 to subscribers and digitally.
