Issue Explores The Nation’s Most Philanthropic Families Who Are Focusing Their Legacies On Helping Others
NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 22, 2020 - Today the editors of Modern Luxury Media, the nation's largest luxury media company, are debuting their November Philanthropy Issue featuring Elizabeth Debicki on the cover, kicking off with Manhattan and Angeleno magazines.
At Modern Luxury, we make it our mission to highlight the aspirational and inspirational people who have a history of driving progress across our communities from coast to coast. That’s why Modern Luxury has carefully constructed its list of the most philanthropic families in America in the feature, “Living Legacy.” From iconic families such as The Bloombergs, Gettys, Lauders, Tisches, Hilfigers and the Bushes, this feature dives into how these families have crafted a legacy donating their time, money and resources to helping others.
Modern Luxury selected Elizabeth Debicki as the cover star for its November issue just as her debut as one of the most beloved philanthropic icons in our history graces our screens in the upcoming season of Netflix’s The Crown. The casting is of course spot on not only for the striking resemblance Debicki shares with the late Princess Diana, but also due to her own humanitarian efforts. As a global ambassador for Women for Women International, the actress advocates for women survivors of war. For this edition's cover story, Debicki spoke with SVP of Editorial Phebe Wahl on the versatility of her roles on screen, what it was like to play the mysterious Princess of Wales, and how she has been able to create a community of sustainability for women in Women for Women.
This issue will also include an exclusive “Holiday Gift Guide” featuring the must-haves for the upcoming holiday season including gifts by brands like Louis Vutton, Gucci, Hermes, Armani, PXG, Chopard, Lillet, Jimmy Choo and more. Readers can also dive into a visual spread photographed by David Lewis Taylor and styled by James Aguiar titled “Natural Selection,” detailing the next evolution of modern watch wear.
“As we approach the holiday season, it was important that this issue focused on those who are giving back,” said Phebe Wahl SVP of Editorial at Modern Luxury. “We hope our Philanthropy Issue is as inspiring to our readers as it was for our team to put it together.”
The November issue is available beginning now to subscribers and digitally.
