POSITION

As the Corporate Marketing & Social Media Manager dedicated to corporate, national and local, social and digital as well as corporate marketing planning and operations initiatives, you will play a unique and important role in our collaborative, organized and creative team.

Under the supervision of the CMO, the Corporate Marketing & Social Media Manager will participate in the development and maintenance of various corporate digital properties including the Modern Luxury Media corporate website as well as internal Staff Site. This role will also support corporate marketing planning and operations initiatives as needed.

The Corporate Marketing & Social Media Manager will also lead the execution of national and local social media strategies under the supervision of the VP of Social Media as a primary focus of the role. Execution of local social media will also be in collaboration with the Group Publisher of Hamptons, Manhattan, and Gotham brands.

The ideal candidate will have experience in social media, website development/digital planning and execution with excellent project management skills in order to deliver tasks and initiatives on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will also have superior organization skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be customer service oriented with a calm and professional demeanor along with the ability to drive teamwork and demonstrate leadership skills which will play a vital part of this role.

This role is a unique and important position within the overall Modern Luxury Media corporate marketing and social organization and will collaborate with various cross-functional teams from national and local marketing, digital, editorial, and exec team members across the organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Digital Responsibilities (40%):

  • Corporate Website:
  • Manage Modern Luxury Media corporate website, modernluxurymedia.com

      • Partner with CMO to develop corporate site strategy and create appropriate website content aligned with the strategy
      • Provide strategic recommendations and partner with CMO to create a best-in-class digital presence that amplifies a consistent Modern Luxury Media brand narrative

  • Develop and own quarterly maintenance plan ensuring the site remains up to date with fresh and relevant content

    • Serve as project manager to implement site updates via backend CMS, manage QA process and bug tracking
    • Serve as main point of contact with external website development partner and collaborate as needed on site enhancements, functionality and overall maintenance
    • Act as point of contact across Modern Luxury internal teams to coordinate and facilitate site updates and troubleshoot as necessary
    • Partner with sales team and Publishers to ensure incoming leads originating from corporate site are being delivered to appropriate contacts within the company
    • Ensure all functionality within site is maintained (e.g. inquiry forms are working properly, external links are driving to correct destination, etc.)
    • Keep up-to-date with industry best practice and monitor competitor websites
    • Evaluate and manage website performance



  • Corporate Internal Staff Site:
  • Manage Modern Luxury Media internal staff site

      • Partner with CMO to develop internal staff site strategy and create appropriate website content aligned with the strategy
      • Provide strategic recommendations and partner with CMO to create a best-in-class user experience for internal team members which amplifies the Modern Luxury Media brand narrative and provides them with easy access to all of the relevant tools needed cross-functionally

  • Develop and own quarterly maintenance plan ensuring the site remains up to date with fresh and relevant content

    • Serve as project manager to implement site updates via backend CMS, manage QA process and bug tracking
    • Serve as main point of contact with external website development partner and collaborate as needed on site enhancements, functionality and overall maintenance
    • Act as point of contact across Modern Luxury internal teams to coordinate and facilitate site updates and troubleshoot as necessary
    • Ensure all functionality within site is maintained (e.g. links to documents, ability to update account info/employee directory, submission of feedback, company updates and spotlights newsfeed is functioning).
    • Brainstorm and suggest ways to enhance employee experience and increase engagement
    • Evaluate and manage website performance

Social Media Responsibilities (50%):

  • National Social Media:

    • Manage Modern Luxury’s National Social Media accounts (Modern Luxury, The Men’s Book, Weddings, Interiors) across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with support from the VP of Social Media.
    • Responsible for posting Editorial and Sponsored content across Modern Luxury’s national accounts daily.
    • Brainstorming, pitching, and developing new social optimized content ideas in conjunction with the VP of Social Media.
    • Designing and creating social graphics to support National Editorial content monthly.

  • Local Social Media:

    • Manage Modern Luxury’s New York accounts (Manhattan, Gotham and Hamptons) across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
    • Responsible for posting Editorial and Sponsored content across Modern Luxury’s New York accounts daily while collaborating with the VP of Social Media and the Group Publisher of Hamptons, Manhattan, and Gotham brands as needed.
    • Planning and maintaining content calendar of upcoming NYC events for social coverage (art exhibits, pop-up shops, restaurant openings, etc.)
    • Designing and creating social graphics to support Local Editorial content monthly.

  • Corporate Social Media:
    • Manage Modern Luxury Media’s corporate accounts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin and Glassdoor.
    • Participate in development of corporate social media strategy in collaboration with VP of Social, CMO and HR team.
    • Responsible for posting content across corporate social accounts weekly which amplifies a consistent Modern Luxury Media brand narrative.
    • Planning and maintaining content calendar including upcoming company-wide initiatives, company updates, HR/culture initiatives, program spotlights and more for social coverage
    • Designing and creating social graphics to support content monthly.

  • Reporting:

    • Liaising with VP of Social Media to create ad-hoc reports as needed (sponsor recaps, event recaps, social campaign recaps, internal recaps for corporate social initiatives, etc.)

Corporate Marketing Planning & Operations Responsibilities (10%):

  • Support CMO and partner with other marketing team members as needed in uncovering areas of opportunity to redefine and implement processes and systems related to all functions of corporate marketing in order to maximize efficiency and bandwidth (with an emphasis on National / Local ways of working)
  • Be a steward of internal communications and culture to promote Modern Luxury narrative, purpose, mission, and values across all outlets including corporate website, internal staff site and other key marketing touchpoints across the organization
  • Support CMO to conduct research to identify, evaluate and select external agencies and other partners as needed across all corporate marketing functions and needs.

PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing)
  • 2-3 years of Social Media / Marketing experience preferably at a Publisher/Lifestyle brand.
  • Familiarity with managing multiple social media accounts
  • Experience managing digital properties (websites / internal staff site) with advanced knowledge of content management systems
  • Experience participating in corporate marketing planning and operations
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools — Later, Link in Bio and Facebook Creator
  • Knowledge of analytics tools — Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Insights
  • Design experience a plus (Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of G-Suite, Microsoft ppt and excel
  • Superior project management skills with ability to multitask and work well in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be client service and detail oriented
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
