POSITION

The Strategy Manager will work in partnership with the Sr. Director of Strategy to support Modern Luxury’s strategic marketing efforts, collaborating cross-functionally to drive revenue growth across channels. This position will support communicating Modern Luxury Media’s unique value proposition and capabilities through sales collateral to drive revenue generation.

The primary function of the Strategy Manager is to assist in developing strategic marketing solutions leveraging Modern Luxury’s complete suite of integrated products, platforms and services to meet and exceed the demand of the world’s largest luxury brands, allowing them to connect with their audiences in the places and ways that matter the most. Specifically, the Strategy Manager will support the pre-sale process and develop proposals for integrated programs, working closely with the Sr. Director of Strategy, sales team, Lux Studio and other SME’s across the organization. In some instances the Strategy Manager may lead the pre-sale process for assigned programs. The Strategy Manager will participate in the pre-sale ideation and proposal development process, playing a large role in generating proposals leveraging approved materials.

The Strategy Manager, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Strategy, will assist in developing additional sales materials which clearly communicate Modern Luxury Media’s unique value proposition and capabilities to drive growth.

In addition to the above, the Strategy Manager will also assist in the development of internal and external materials and communications to promote Modern Luxury Media’s most engaging and creative campaigns, monthly issue releases and other relevant news and announcements like new platforms and products.

AREAS OF FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES / CORPORATE COLLATERAL

Assist with the creation, development and maintenance of key sales collateral and resources which showcase Modern Luxury’s unique value proposition including media kits, capabilities decks, proposal templates, sell sheets, category packages, etc.

PRE-SALE PROCESS

Participate in the pre-sale process, led by the Sr. Director of Strategy and in collaboration with Sales, Lux Studio/Regional Marketing, Digital, Editorial/Fashion, Social, Production, etc. to ideate best-in-class programs to maximize revenue opportunities across platforms for Modern Luxury’s most strategic and high-growth potential accounts.

STRATEGIC IDEATION & PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT

Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Strategy, develop proposals for integrated marketing campaigns. Also assist in the management of the proposal queue.

ENFORCE PRICING STANDARDS

Work closely with the Sr. Director of Strategy to enforce rates and pricing of Modern Luxury Media’s product offerings across integrated programming.

NATIONAL PLATFORMS

In some instances, assist with the development of materials to support launch of national programs and platforms.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Assist in managing issue release plans, including development of timelines, maintaining the Issue Delivery Playbook, etc.

BRAND GUIDELINES

Participate in ensuring all pre-sale tools and resources meet brand guidelines

TRENDS

Assist the Sr. Director of Strategy in staying up to date on and reporting media industry trends including content, digital, social and experiential marketing trends, etc.

PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing)
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in integrated marketing, preferably at an agency, media company, publisher/lifestyle brand
  • Must have experience in developing integrated media proposals with excellent writing skills and storytelling ability
  • Understanding of and experience within the media industry and specifically digital marketing landscape
  • Must be client service and detail oriented with a spirit to collaborate with sales as well as cross-functional team members
  • Superior project management skills with ability to multitask and work well in fast-paced environments
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of G-Suite
